 2008 BIG PIG JIG® October 31st - November 1st
2008 Theme: Hogaween Town

 Since 1982, this annual festival is Georgia's Barbecue Cooking Championship. 
It  takes place in October at the BIG PIG JIG® Site located in the eastern part of Vienna, adjacent to I-75.
 The BIG PIG JIG® is presented by the Dooly County Chamber of Commerce.
 The BIG PIG JIG® includes a  midway area with arts and crafts vendors,family activities, games,
specialty foods, and concerts featuring regional and nationally-recognized entertainment groups. 
A parade, scholarship Quiz Fest and scholarship golf tournament are among some of the
other activities  that take place prior to the opening of the event.
The BIG PIG JIG® due to its increasing popularity has become nationally recognized
and received numerous awards, such as"Best Event/Festival in Georgia",budget over $50,000,
a  "Top Twenty Events in the Southeast" for three years, a "Top 100 Events in North America"
and is featured in a best selling travel book "1000 Places to See in the USA & Canada Before you Die"
 by New York Times Best Seller, Patricia Schultz.
