Vienna Police Department
The Vienna Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency.  The department is staffed by six P.O.S.T. certified officers, including the chief.  The sheriff's department provides dispatch service.  

The primary mission of the Vienna Police Department is to maintain social order within prescribed ethical and constitutional limits, while providing professional law enforcement services.

Vienna Volunteer Fire Department
The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department is staffed by a 33 member State Certified Force.  Approximately half of the members live in Vienna while the vast majority work in the city.  All members have pagers and are dispatched by the sheriff's department.  Vienna has a class 6 fire rating which is among the best in the state for a volunteer department.

Dooly County Emergency Management Agency
Dooly County EMA Headquarters is located in the City of Vienna, the county seat of Dooly County.  The county EMA is the link between local government and State and Federal resources known as Georgia Emergency Managment Agency (GEMA) and the Federal Emergency (FEMA).

Dooly County EMA works with city and county governments to develop and maintain Emergency Operations Plans that provide guidance to Emergency staff and workers during times of disaster.  A good example would be the collaboration conducted during the tornado that struck Vienna in April of 1999.Dooly County EMA also coordinates the county's Fire and Rescue Services.
